Red Tailed Hawk with His Eye on Me

I was taking a photograph of a little stink bug this morning when I heard a lot of noise in the tree above me. I looked up and there was a young red tailed hawk being harassed by a lot of small birds. He was looking down at me with great curiosity. I only had my macro lens, but I pointed it up at the hawk anyway and took his picture. Such a cutie.

I came across a great blue heron this morning who had just caught a huge fish.  The fish was too big to swallow.   Another Great Blue Heron approached to see if he might get a bite.  But instead they battled, the first one won and then went back to his fish.  Not sure if he ever was able to make the swallow.
