The Baobab Trees

These elegant trees are more than 800 years old.  Many are over 100 feet tall and some 30 feet in diameter at their base. They form a beautiful natural border on a  dirt road that links two villages of Madagascar - Morondava and Belo Tsiribihina.  It's a very famous and wonderful site to see.  Todd Gustafson, our fearless leader showed us all how to see and photograph these trees at night and during the day.  Thank you Todd!

The Aye Aye Lemur

This little cutie is the world's largest nocturnal primate weighing in at about four pounds.  He's got long, long fingers, especially the third finger for digging and sharp sharp teeth.  Taken at night with a flash somewhere in Madagascar.
