Harrier Overhead
She was hunting something on the ground in the brush. I was able to sneak up on her and poke my lens through the brush. She was quite aware I was there, but it didn't phase her. After a bit she flew up and away. Such a beautiful hawk with a damaged feather pattern.

Northern Harrier Hawks in Valley Forge at Dusk Today (Click Photo for Better View)
The male Harrier Hawk is the light colored one on the right at the top. From what I have learned, he often has two lady friends at a time. Oh those boys!!

Julia Davidson Riley
Just got back from five wonderful days visiting my sister Julie in Durango, Colorado. We had more fun than you can imagine and it was all legal.

Long Eared Horned Owl in Valley Forge Today
This guy was sleeping at the top of the tree in the woods in Valley Forge this morning. I put my tripod and big lens at the bottom of the tree and started taking pictures, but he wouldn't look down. So, I started talking to him and waving my hand and he looked down and thought, "What the heck is that?!"
