What Bird is This?
I came across a lot of these beautiful little bluebirds sitting on low branches this morning. They were watching out for worms or something moving on the ground, would jump down, gobble up the worm and jump back on the branch. One looked up at me while I was photographing and was a bit alarmed when he saw the camera looking right at him. (Click on him to see his alarm.) Does anybody know what kind of bird this is?

Thank you Susan Anne Jane. These birds are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHow did you know it was me? I've seen only one years ago at our little farm in Sellersville. It was so breath taking - I will never forget it. The birds are attracted to the mullen plant - very common weed in PA - - I have a mullen plant here in my garden just in case a blue bird flys by.
ReplyDeleteValley Forge was teaming with them today. I thought they were swallows, but they were just too blue. I may go again tomorrow and really concentrate on them. They are just too beautiful.
