It was pouring rain today so I put the raincoat on my camera and lens and drove out to Valley Forge. I trudged through a field to where there are a few cabins in the trees. I stood inside the cabin and took shots of little eastern phoebes and bluejays, but nothing National Geographic worthy. As I was trudging back across the field to the parking lot a man not dressed for the weather came briskly up to me and asked if I had seen the baby owlets. No, I had not. Did I want to see them? Absolutely. And so he and I walked to the other end of the parking lot and there way up almost to the top of a great pine tree were two baby owlets. And here they are for your viewing pleasure:
