Last Thursday Ken and I got up early and took the bullet train to Sakudaira near Nagano in Central Japan. When we walked out of the train station, right there in front of us was Mt. Asama, the same volcanic mountain that erupted last week spewing volcanic ash and molten rock high into the air. We took a taxi and I got a photo of the Mountain top as it sits behind the little town.
